Watch films just for the costumes? Daydream of seeing your name in the credits? An intensive 2 day workshop for the novice or beginner of what costuming for film and television entails, with tips, tricks and techniques not otherwise taught in school. This technical overview includes behind the scenes photos from the teacher's two decades in film, industry vendors & websites, set costuming and design tips with hands-on demonstrations. The seminar will concentrate on the logistics of the process, from start to finish, and end with a practical walk-through with student participation. A printed handout with lists and links will be provided in class, attendees must bring a notebook and pen.
This workshop runs from 9:00am until 6:00pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
About the Instructor: Chantal Filson
Costume is Chantal's obsession, as well as her profession. She has costumed for film/television since 1998, and her love of historical costume has led her to become a contributing writer for yourwardrobeunlockd.com and a recurring guest teacher at Costume College.
